Description
The complex project, which is the result of an intense property and planning effort, evolved in conjunction with the Hamburg Airport master plan for a comprehensive remodelling and restructuring effort. Located across from the airport terminal, the ring-shaped, eight-storey building houses a 4-star hotel with 266 hotel rooms, restaurants, conference and gym facilities, plus 168 underground parking spots. Its exterior picks up on the architecture of the adjacent multi-storey car parks and seems to levitate above the parking decks like a weightless aluminium cylinder.

Beim Richtfest Ende April dieses Jahres war es versprochen worden – und der Bauherr Fay Projects hat Wort gehalten: Am 30. September wurde das neue Radisson Blu Hotel am Hamburger Flughafen offiziell an den Betreiber, die Rezidor Hotel Group, übergeben.
