Optimal Land Use Efficiency in Prominent Location in Frankfurt's WestendMendelssohnstraße 87, Frankfurt am Main
Floor area:4,700 sqm
Plot size:1,360 sqm
Architect:Köhler Architekten, Frankfurt am Main
A 14-storey high-rise and petrol station were to be replaced with a new scheme within the framework of restoring the bourgeois residential structure in Frankfurt’s Westend district by limiting building heights to five or six floors. The plan envisioned a building with cut-stone façade whose structure and dimensions were inspired by the original Belle Époque development.
The inside of the building features a six-storey lobby with cantilever staircase, state-of-the-art technology/equipment, flexible elements, and bespoke use concepts.
